Joanthan and Meghan both attended Jenks High School, and graduated in 2003. From there they both went to Oklahoma State University, and in their sophomore year actually live across the street from each other.
While in college, Meghan worked at Aspen Coffee Company and Jonathan was a lifeguard at the Colvin Center. One day, Meghan and her roommate went to the pool, and Jonathan was there to check their ID's, and of course watch out for their safety. After being checked-in Meghan, thought to herself "hey, i think i went to high school with that guy." But there was no further interaction. A month later, or so, Jonathan walked into Aspen Coffee with one of Meghan's fellow employees on his are. After making eye contact they remembered each other. They talked for a bit, but that was all. To Meghan, Jonathan was now known as so-in-so's boyfriend, and Meghan was just another Aspen girl, and that was that.
Then, another month or two passed and Jonathan walked into the coffee shop again, but this time he had a DIFFERENT fellow employee on his arm. Meghan kind of gave him a hard time with the whole dating-the-whole-aspen-staff-thing, but besides that Jonathan was still just ANOTHER so-in-so's boyfriend, and Meghan was another Aspen girl.
So, after that relationship had run its course it was time for Meghan and Jonathan to see each other in a new light. That brings us to March 17th 2007, St. Patricks Day. By this time Jonathan had switched schools to go to OU College of Nursing, and Meghan was about to graduate and move to Seattle. It would seem that they would never see each other again, and that the time for them to meet had passed, but no, that would be too obvious.
Jonathan made the split decision to drive from Norman (OU) to Stillwater (OSU)on St. Patricks Day to hang out with his best friend (and now best man) Scott, and his girlfriend (and now bridesmaid) Stephanie. Oh yeah, and Stephanie was an Aspen employee too. Meghan and Stephanie had become very close through work, and Meghan decided to hang out with her on St. Patricks Day too. They all met up at Stonewall, a local pub, and began to celebrate in the traditional St. Patricks Day fashion. Jonathan arrived a little late, but once they saw each other they recognized each other once again. Jonathan sat next to Meghan, and from that moment they never left one another's side for the rest of the night. And we've been together ever since... awe.
